SUMMER GEOLOGY COURSE
Please Note - the Program will not be Presented on Sept 1, 2025 Labor Day Library Closed The New Haven Mineral Club continues to Host a course on Geology, each Monday at the Atwater Library, in North Branford. Exceptions are the, 2nd of the Month Mondays, when Regular Meeting are held. The course began on Monday July 7th, and will be presented into September. The starting time- 630 PM. Program Time - 7pm to 8pm. The course is on DVD. It was developed by, The Great Courses, and the instructor is John Renton, from the University of West Virginia. The topics to be presented: How the earth was formed, plate tectonics, formation of minerals, classification of minerals, identification of minerals, volcanic activity, Yellowstone National Park, weathering, streams, faults and joints, earthquakes, mountains, and economics of geology. |
